Now I believe that people do have the right to hate gays, or blacks, or anyone they want to hate. I also believe people have the right to associate and worship as their conscience directs, even if it's a misguided, uninformed, and foolishly ignorant conscience. But to point at this and say it's going to keep you from free exercise of your religion...well that's just not accurate or true. It's a lie. (Hello, aren't you aware that lying, bearing false witness, is a sin Prevoites?) This ordinance specifically says you can be as hateful as you want in your church or church school. You can teach that God hates Fags to your heart's content there.
Now, if one chooses to bring that out into the general public...well one Should expect to be sneered at and chastised for the hypocritical stance one is making. God and Jesus never said, hate thy neighbor, Belittle thy neighbor, kick him out of his home and fire him if he's gay or she's trans-sexual. I'm pretty sure, can't find that line in any translation.
This ordinance does not demand any changes to how one worships, to say it does is to lie. It does not force one to do anything. It does say that if you have a business, you must treat your employees, whoever they may be, with respect. If you can't do that, you get slapped on the wrist. That's a choice you get to make! See, you can practice your belief just fine...not only that, but one can brag to one's fellow Christianist about how you had a chance to be a Martyr for Jesus! See!? win-win!
So, accept that most people see Christianists (that's Anchorage Baptist Taliban, Christianist Fascism er..Family Council I mean, and all the other putative Christian "family" organizations that oppose Equal Rights) for the Tyrannical hypocrites they are.

Prop 5 will pass. If not this time, sometime.
Now for good news! Not every Christian is a Christianist Fascist! Here Rev. Guy Lynch has a nice comment, and of course the Anchorage Buzz is that The Episcopals are now on board with Prop. 5~!

I have perfect faith that mostly good will in time prevail! While I realize that Prevo's unofficial motto is Gott Mit Uns, so was the Nazi's. And the truth is, Goodness, Love, and Righteousness will prevail over fear and bigotry if good people stand up for it! Good for you One Anchorage!
